No. There is only one reason to have a remote for a remote sized timer and that is, it would be cheaper to make it with off the shelf components.
We've built Timebirds® Timers from the inside out, so when we considered making a remote, our athletes quickly rejected the idea. They said it would be two items to pack/lose/break/charge.
We've built the remote into the body of the timer because our Birds are always within reach. Wall-mounted gym timers on the other hand, they need remotes because they are 10ft in the air 😉

Yes! Timebirds beeps the final 3 seconds before the time starts, to mark rounds in an EMOM or similar workouts; during the transition from rest to work and work to rest periods in intervals, and at the end of your workout. 🐓
- Timebirds Sonic and Mini are equipped with Sonic Dual Sound that makes it the loudest portable fitness timer on the market.
- BigBird has fitted with our competiton which features two 103db buzzers tuned to the exact same tone heard on the competition floor of the CrossFit Games !
Those settings can also be personalised and adjusted from the Timebirds App.

Yes ! All Timebirds have a memory function that saves your last workout settings. This particular function can be enabled or disabled based on your preference, directly on the device or via the App (Mini and BigBird)

Timebirds Sonic and Mini are fitted with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery,
- Timebirds Sonic will run up to 14hrs from full charge, and 40 days in idle mode.
- Timebirds Mini will run up to 24 hrs from full charge, and over 6 months in idle mode.
Both are rechargeable via the USB-C connector.
- Timebirds™ Sonic will take 90 minutes to full charge.
- Timebirds™ MIni will take 45min from flat to full charge.
We’ve also included a low battery warning signal so you never start a session with the risk of running out of battery mid-workout. As a general rule, the colder the shorter the battery life will be. We recommend to use and store your Timebirds Timers in temperatures between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius (50 to 104 Degrees Fahrenheit) ⚡

Yes, the batteries in the Timebirds Sonic and Mini models can be replaced. If you need to order a replacement battery, please contact us at team@timebirds.com.

The Timebirds Mini and BigBird utilise an airtight crystal with an exceptionally precise frequency tolerance of 0.0005% or 5 PPM (parts per million). Additionally, they synchronise with your phone's network clock, which is linked to the Atomic clock, ensuring that both Mini and BigBird provide the most accurate timing available.
Timebirds Sonic uses an air tight Crystal that carries a 0.002% or 20 PPM (part per million) frequency tolerance.
The reason why we are using such high tech is to prevent from any possible corrosion due to the moisture present in the air which, with time, could deteriorate this component.
Timebirds Original (Gen1) uses a ceramic resonator that carries a 0.5% or 5,000 PPM (part per million) frequency tolerance.

Timebirds Sonic, Mini and BigBird are all software updatable.
- OS-4 and can only be compatible with Timebirds Sonic.
- OS-5 can only be compatible with Timebirds Mini and BigBird.

We release software updates whenever we can improve the user experience or add new modes, if not both. We collect your feedback and try to implement it whenever possible. We then go through a period of test before releasing it to all users. There is no specific timeline for OS release.

Timebirds™ Timers contain two Neodymium magnets, sometimes called super magnets, are the most powerful permanent magnets available. They are renowned for a powerful magnetic field, great bonding strength and high coercivity. They will hold their strength for over 100 years.

Magnetic strength will remain strong enough to hold your Timebirds onto metallic surfaces even when the case is on. External factors such as the quality of steel, surface finish, and paint thickness could also affect the overall magnetic strength when Timebirds is used together with its case. We have designed Timebirds protective cases to accomodate those variables as much as it is technically possible.

Timebirds™ Orignal Only (Gen1)
You need to reset it to factory new. Simply press and hold ‘ -’ ‘+’ and ‘bird’ buttons together for 3 seconds and you will be good as new.
One thing lithium ion batteries do not like is hot and cold temperatures. Timebirds Originals have a deep sleep mode that is triggered when the temperatures become too extreme, or when the battery is completely flat. This is to protect the longevity of the device.

There are multiple reasons that could be related to this:
- Using your clock in very low temperature could reduce battery life.
- Having the alarm clock setting activated will consume more power
- Like any other Lithium i-on batteries, it will naturally loose some of its capacity over time, though it shouldn't exceed 30% over it's life-time.
We recommend keeping your unit updated to the latest OS as we constantly improve the battery power management.

As we try our best to provide exceptional service, some factors like shipping and handling are outside of our control, and issues like this can happen. The first thing you need to do is to immediately report your damaged delivery to the carrier, even before reporting it to us. Since COVID19, most carriers are making contact less deliveries, and in the vast majority of times, parcels are either placed in a safe location or have been handed over to one of your neighbour. For for orders marked as "Delivered" or orders that have a final scan, we will not file lost in transit claims or offer refunds or resend your order at no cost.
